Douglas Day
Douglas Day is the only artist in his field known for
his retro-based, delicate illustration style evocative
of classic Disney animation.
His most recent accomplishments include MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL's
"Mascot" property, as well as two licencing
style guides for MGM's "Pink Panther" character.
Day, who regularly works for clients throughout the United
States, is one of only a handful of artists hand-picked
to create original artwork for the highly-anticipated
"Harry Potter" merchandising style guide for
Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
An important part of his thirty year experience as a character
illustrator is his thirteen year working relationship
with both Disney and Warner Bros., creating artwork in
a variety of drawing styles.
During that time, Day simultaneously continued to do work
for every major entertainment corporation from 20th Century
Fox and Sony Pictures, to Universal Studios and Capital
Records.
Widely recognized for his ability to quickly "hit
the mark" with his conceptual design solutions, Day
creates his illustrations on his Macintosh G4, working
primarily in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
His other areas of expertise consist of keyart packaging
design, storyboarding, logo design and handlettering.
