Faith
Stepping into Faiths world is an entrance into a
magical world of unparalleled beauty and wonder. Her images
will undoubtedly take you on a delightful journey to the
exotic places of the heart and soul.
Faiths images represent a new form of artistic expression,
completely unique to her. Theres an intrinsic poetic
quality to her work. Just as the language of beautiful
poetry transports one into the higher realms of emotions,
the dance of her lines and symphonic use of color serves
as her vehicle in conveying the sublime. Her colors capture
the brilliance and vitality of the dreams and yearnings
within us all. Her serene settings and graceful and refined
characters reflect her deeply romantic view of life. With
each added viewing, one discovers new perspectives and
nuances missed at first glance.
Each painting requires many hours of detailed work. To
create the very distinct look of her art, Faith uses a
variety of non-traditional techniques that leave even
the professionals wondering. The carefully chosen names
of each image reflect Faiths lyrical nature and
capture the deeper essence of each dynamic and evocative
image.
Finding the source and flow of creativity has been a part
of all of Faiths endeavors. Her world is cross-cultural,
interweaving motifs that merge into a universal aesthetic
experience. This talent stems from a rich professional
life, which has included teaching foreign students of
many diverse nationalities as well as traveling and living
abroad in different regions of the world, including Europe,
South America, the Middle East, and the Orient. In addition
to teaching, Faith has been practicing yoga for more than
17 years. Her advanced yoga practice and yoga teacher
training has imbued her artwork with a magical sense of
harmony, balance, and vibration of color and form. Behind
the meditative and peaceful closed eyes of the men and
women in her artwork, one senses individuals that truly
see and sense the beauty, joy, and preciousness of life.
Over the years, Faith has pursued her interest in painting
only as a means to express her vivid inner world, and
not with the intention of being published. As gifts to
friends and family members, she would make color copies
of her artwork and create hand-made greeting cards. She
later discovered that these cards had been kept, framed,
and treasured. All those who knew of her work had continuously
encouraged her to share her images with the world.
